CEC 2025 in Copenhagen

Continuing the theme of the Baltic, the 2025 Cruise Europe Conference will be held in Copenhagen, which hosted the first CEC in 1991.

Like its counterparts, the Danish port is seeing signs of recovery following a 17 per cent in calls compared to 2019. “The numbers are gradually recovering. For the first time we now have year-round calls, overnights are on the rise as are expedition ships in the winter,” said Luis de Carvalho, commercial cruise director, Copenhagen Malmo Port who presented the port/destination alongside Klaus Bondam, director of CruiseCopenhagen and Cruise Baltic.

Groundbreaking for shore power facilities took place in mid May. The first two of five OPS connections will be in service next year. The port expects to become CO2-neutral in its own operations from the 2025 cruise season.
