Hamburg is establishing the Baakenhoft Cruise Terminal temporarily for 10 years (pictured).

As of July 1, all calls that were planned for the Cruise Center HafenCity (CCH) will take place at the new terminal, which is located in the eastern Hafen City at Kirchenpauerkai.

CCH is going to be rebuilt and integrated into the new shipping and hotel complex in southern Uberseequartier with an expected opening in 2023.

During May, Cruise Gate Hamburg has worked on preparing the three terminals for the return of cruising. Together with cruiselines and according to the latest government CGH has set up health and safety protocols and adapted the processing in the terminals in order to keep passengers, crew and staff safe with regard to coronavirus.

These measures will be adapted and updated whenever it is necessary in accordance with designated authorities (health, port etc) and cruiselines.

As a sign of the pandemic times, Cruise Center Steinwerder is hosting Hamburg's first drive-in cinema for up to 620 cars and location for drive-in concerts.
