There is one dedicated cruise berth and five general berths in Turku. The former, which is situated on the riverbank takes ships up to 170m in length, is served by truck with a 24m3 per hour capacity.

At the end of last year three fixed wastewater reception points in the cargo harbour area were completed. These have an estimated capacity of 83m3 per hour which has yet to be tested. However it should be sufficient to serve those cruise vessels calling Turku, according to Marita Anstead, business developer cruise & ferry, Port of Turku.

All the wastewater goes to the municipal sewage network. There is currently no extra free.
