On June 1 Cruise Europe (CE) members and media will take part in the Association’s annual conference in Dublin. It will be a busy day but with plenty of opportunities to network during the three-day event.

After the official opening from host city Dublin, chairman Carnival UK David Dingle will give an overview of the state of the industry. He will be followed by Matt Grimes of newcomers Viking Ocean Cruises who will talk about the line’s deployment in Northern Europe.

Morning and afternoon sessions, on fleet deployment and port service expectations and the importance of smaller ships to North European cruise development, will be interspersed with three topical subjects.

Special advisor FIPRA International John Richardson will talk on international relations/geopolitical issues and Peter Wild on the overall growth outlook for the cruise industry. There will also be a roundup of environmental challenges and solutions in the CE region.

Included in the sessions will be Helen Caron of Thomson Cruises, Miguel Reyna of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and Russell Daya of Disney Cruise Line in the morning and Mary Shaw Delaney of Silversea Cruises, Sander Groothuis of Windstar Cruises and Clare Ward of Fred Olsen Cruise Lines in the afternoon.

Cruise industry consultant Nigel Lingard will be the moderator.
