This year 42 cruiseships carrying up to 68,500 passengers are going to call at Skagen. This is 100% up on 2017, when 33,000 passengers on 31 calls visited Skagen. Out of the 42, 11 will be first calls from ships within Princess Cruises and Viking Ocean Cruises, both brands being quite new to Skagen.

Anne Sofie Ronne Jensen, cruise manager Cruise Skagen Denmark, comments: “We constantly strive to develop our product and therefore we are introducing new tours from 2018. As it is our experience that cruise quests also want to be active when in port, we have added canoeing and horseback riding tours.

“Skagen is truly a biker’s paradise with the even and beautiful landscape and safe surroundings.” Cruiseships calling at Skagen are selling more and more bike tours and increasing numbers of independent passengers are exploring Skagen on bicycles. As a result more bike tour options have been created.
