The quay in Floro is being lengthened to 200m in order to increase capacity for more and larger ships. The regulation process is underway and it is hoped will be completed by the year end. Work is due to be completed late 2015 or spring 2016. The Port and Municipality of Floro are financing the project.

A terminal is also being built with completion due October 2016. The plans are still in progress but it will be multipurpose being used for fast ferries, local boats and Hurtigruten with seating spaces and toilets. The bus and taxi station will be moved into the new terminal. In addition it will house offices for maritime companies and port authorities making it the centre for public transport in Floro.

This year there were calls from Seabourn Legend, Voyager, Minerva, Saga Sapphire and Nordstjernen on a pilgrim tour. Next year Voyager is the only call booked to date.

New excursions include a helicopter tour of the highest sea cliff in Europe, a visit to and one hour hike at the Jostedal Glacier. A visit to the Kalvag fishing village by boat or bus is becoming increasingly popular. Here passengers can take a historical guide, visit the seafood factory, enjoy some free time and perhaps have lunch at the seafood restaurant.
