Stornoway

Stornoway Harbour provides the platform from which to explore Lewis and Harris, a place where the influences of our Viking and Celtic heritage are still evident today. Originally founded by the Vikings, on a tour from Scandinavia, the Port now caters or a wide variety of cruise tours, showcasing our cultural heritage and landscapes. With our newly constructed Deep Water Terminal, our port can cater for vessels up to 360m. For cruise ships under 156m in length we have our Inner Harbour piers 1 and 3 located directly in the town centre. Must-see local landmarks on the Isle of Lewis include the prehistoric Callanish Stones, constructed 1000 years before Stonehenge. Stornoway is not only a historical hotspot, but also a cultural one. The Gaelic language and traditional folk music can still be seen and heard in the town. Walking tours of the town give visitors an insight into the unique heritage of the Outer Hebrides, where a warm welcome awaits.
