Tallinn welcomed first cruise ship call of the year

Monday, July 5, 2021 - 14:46 by tallinn

On Friday, 2nd of July, the first cruise ship of the season Mein Schiff 1 arrived to Tallinn, Estonia!
In July, TUI Cruises 'Mein Schiff 1 and MSC Cruises' MSC Seaview are expected to call Tallinn 9 times. Port of Tallinn is also waiting for cruise ship visits in August, September and October.
Due to the effects of Covid-19, cruises now take place on a completely different basis than they did before the pandemic. The capacity of the vessels is significantly lower than usual. All passengers and crew members have been tested and / or vaccinated before the start of the trip and the tours are organized in the bubble.
The cruise lines, port and service providers follow the recommendations of EU and regulatory authorities and are well prepared for the restart of the safe cruising in Baltic Sea Region. Joint protocols and comprehensive rules have been established for managing cruise ship calls and passenger handling both onboard and at the destination.
The cruise sector of Estonia hopes that more cruise lines will consider calling Baltic Sea Region with their ships.
