Europe’s leading cruise turn-around port, the Port of Southampton, will host high profile travel trade delegates from the UK at the CLIA Conference 2020, taking place in Southampton from 26 – 28 April.
The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is the world’s largest cruise industry trade association, providing a unified voice and leading authority of the global cruise community. The association will host its annual CLIA Conference in the UK’s cruise capital, the Port of Southampton, next year. Over the course of three days, delegates will hear from experts inside and outside the cruise industry and have the opportunity to visit P&O Cruises’ Britannia and MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia whilst the ships are in port.
Each time a cruise ship calls in Southampton, approximately £2 million is generated for the UK economy. Due to the port’s significance in the cruise industry, the CLIA Conference has been hosted in Southampton since its inaugural event in 2005.
