Norwegian Star and Sea Cloud Spirit inaugural calls at Leixões

On May 18, the Porto Cruise Terminal welcomed the NORWEGIAN STAR cruise ship for the first time.
She was on a 9-day trip from Barcelona to Southampton also visiting Cartagena, Malaga, Cádiz, Lisbon, Leixões and Le Verdon Sur Mer with more than 1.100 passengers on board who had the opportunity to visit Porto and the North of Portugal Region.
The NORWEGIAN STAR is owned and operated by Norwegian Cruise Line.

SEA CLOUD SPIRIT also visited Leixões for the first time in 'turnaround' operation on May 20.
She is currently the world's largest sailship with 138 m of length, 4.230 tons GT and 935 tons DWT.
Built in 2020 at the Metalships & Docks shipyards in Vigo (Spain) and inaugurated in 2021, the SEA CLOUD SPIRIT is the Sea Cloud Cruises' newbuild full-rigged and 3-masted barque.

To celebrate these debuts at the Porto Cruise Terminal, a plaque exchange ceremony was held at the port joining Port Authorities and ships' Captains.
