On 16 April, Le Havre’s cruise terminals marked a key operational milestone with the first dual call at Le Havre Verrazzano Cruise Terminal. On this occasion, Majestic Princess, operated by Princess Cruises, made her inaugural call to Le Havre, marking an important milestone for the 2026 season, with 7 new vessels scheduled.
This simultaneous operation alongside Nieuw Statendam from Holland America Line clearly illustrates the growing capacity of Le Havre’s cruise infrastructure. The new terminals enable the simultaneous handling of multiple vessels, demonstrating the operational capability of these facilities.
As highlighted by Alexandra Ruiz, Managing Director of Le Havre Croisières:
“This inaugural call of Majestic Princess, during a dual operation at our new cruise terminals, marks an important milestone for Le Havre. It reflects the strong confidence of international cruise lines and the step-change in scale of our infrastructure, now fully operational. These new facilities significantly enhance the competitiveness of Le Havre and the Normandy region on the global cruise market, while reinforcing their attractiveness among leading cruise operators.”

A traditional plaque exchange ceremony was held on board, bringing together key institutional and port stakeholders. Caroline Leclercq, Deputy Mayor of Le Havre in charge of culture and international relations, Nicolas Chervy Harbour Master representing HAROPA PORT, Laëtitia Ziane coordinator for Seamen’s Club, and Cécilia Hesseron for Le Havre Croisières, operator of the terminal, were warmly welcomed on board by Captain Giuseppe Castellano and his crew.
Strong 2026 season ahead for Majestic Princess
Sailing from Fort Lauderdale and now deployed on Northern Europe itineraries, Majestic Princess begins a busy season in Le Havre, with 13 scheduled calls through September.
The vessel welcomed more than 3,300 passengers on this inaugural visit, the majority from the United States, alongside approximately 1,300 crew members, reinforcing Le Havre’s strategic role within international cruise itineraries across Northern Europe.
