Iceland will welcome fully-vaccinated passengers with the correct certificates this summer. If the crew has been at sea for 14 days, the ship is considered ‘clean’.

Whilst Iceland, like everywhere else, is subject to changes in its restrictions in the light of the pandemic, the summer season is looking positive. Both Viking Cruises and Crystal Cruises have announced plans to restart in Iceland this summer.

Gyda Guomundsdottir, general manager North Atlantic Agency, says: “Iceland has the potential to be a staple in the restart process for cruise lines that are sailing with vaccinated passengers.

“The new volcanic eruption has also placed focus on Iceland, as a spectacular experience to add to the list of natural wonders to be experienced.”
