CLIA Spain presents Economic Impact Report in A Coruña

Main figures of cruise industry and the impact on the Spanish economy were presented yesterday by Mr. Alfredo Serrano, Clia Spain MD. In summary, direct impact in 2017 was 1,480 million euros and 12,718 direct jobs. In addition to CLIA's presentation, Mr. Enrique Losada, Chairman of the Port Authority of A Coruña highlighted the evolution of cruises since 2009 and record figures reached in 2017, with more tahn 184.000 passengers in 120 calls. He also announced that the port of A Coruña expects a new record-breaking cruise season in 2019 with 130 announced calls and 190.000 estimated cruise passengers. Onwards and upwards!!!
