Destination Information
Harlingen is one of the oldest seaports in The Netherlands dating back to 1300. The Dutch city of canals, warehouses and old inner harbours received its first call in 2014 (National Geographic Explorer) and is now gearing up for more. Harlingen has seen a number of callers since its entry into the cruise market, and regularly welcomes Windstar, Noble Caledonia and Ponant, a growing number of additional callers such as FTI Kruisefahrten, Plantours and Mystic Cruises are dicovering the great experiences that Harlingen has to offer.
Harlingen is reached following beautiful trip on the Wadden Sea Unesco World Heritage Site, a unique natural landscape that is transformed completely at high and low tides. Ships up to 160 metres moor at the floating quay, which is a 5-minute walk from Harlingen's beautiful historic city centre.
Harlingen is 75 minutes’ drive from Amsterdam International Airport, and therefore available for turnarounds.
