Copenhagen

The Royal City of Copenhagen, founded in 1167 is at the heart of the oldest kingdom in the world and has been Denmark’s capital since 1417. This European metropolis is the largest city in Scandinavia and offers a clean, safe, green, charming and peaceful environment with an efficient public transport system and cruise pier just a few minutes from the city centre.


Copenhagen has: history, culture and beauty. Excellent shore excursions for shorter or longer stays and top professional guides for shore excursions. Denmark has a pleasant climate from May to October and Danish people are open-minded, friendly, hospitable and also English speaking. They greet people with full eye contact and a smile, in a relaxed manner.


The international airport is less than five miles from the city centre. The Port offers 5 dedicated cruise passenger terminals with all facilities needed for turnarounds. In addition the port operates the well known Langelinie Pier reserved mainly for transit calls. Tug and Pilot services are non-compulsory, easy entrance, no tidal water, no height, beam nor length restrictions and ships may stay 48 hours at one day’s ships dues. The new pier extension scheme has been approved for a new construction of a 1.100m quay to be operational from may 2013 enabling Copenhagen to remain the leading cruise port in Northern Europe.
