Cherbourg is a deep water port that offers easy and safe access at any time of the year. Back in 1930’s, Cherbourg was one of the most important transatlantic ports in Europe. About 70 years, Cherbourg, gateway to Normandy, has become a prime cruise destination. With first class service to the cruise ships, crew and passengers, the new Cherbourg cruise terminal provides a 600 meter long berth with a water depth of 13 m, 2500 m² on two levels for top class operation to passengers, and luggage handling with easy connection to bus and taxis and covered access to the ship via electric gangways. Within a walking distance from the heart of the city, Cherbourg cruise terminal provides all modern port facilities and reliable services for either a tourist or turnaround destination.
