Holland America Line and Plein Cap Croisieres will be calling Brest for the first time this year. The former with Westerdam, Prinsendam and the latter with Adriana II, according to Olivier Costil, Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brest.
The French port is expecting a total of 26 calls and 37,000 passengers this year compared to 20 calls and 27,000 passengers in 2009.
There are four quays, the longest being 610m with a depth of up to 11m. The city centre is 20 minutes by foot although shuttle buses are provided which are 70% funded by the city.
There are waste water and recycling facilities at the port.
