Newcomers to Portree this year were Holland America Line's Westerdam, Oceania Cruises’ Regatta and Amadea.
The Scottish port was due to receive 19 calls this year but three were cancelled due to weather and one because of mechanical breakdown, said Colin Alston, harbourmaster Uig and Portree Harbours.
Nevertheless about 7,000 passengers disembarked Portree where there are two anchorages and two 20m pontoon berths.
There are no anchorage restrictions and the pontoon berths are just five minutes’ by foot from the city centre. Occasionally the shore handling agent provides shuttle buses.
There is no passenger terminal but the port can handle 2,000 passengers at one time.
