On November 13, the Port of Leixões welcomes for the first time ever three cruise ‘sister ships' on the same day. The Porto Cruise Terminal welcomes MV Boudicca and the Passenger Terminal of Leça da Palmeira welcomes MS Black Watch and MS Albatros.

These 'sister ships' were all built in the early 70s at Wärtsilä Helsinki Shipyard (Finland) for the Royal Viking Line company that operated from 1972 until 1998.

After many adventures, two of them were acquired by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, which christened them as Black Watch (former Royal Viking Star) and Boudicca (former Royal Viking Sky). The Albatros cruise ship (former Royal Viking Sea) was acquired by the German-based Phoenix Reisen.

Such vessels share a near-identical hull and superstructure layout, similar displacement, and roughly comparable features and equipment. They are also similar in their design and share the same class of cruise ships.
