Out of the seven cruiseship berths in Tallinn, there are five (1, 24, 25, 26, 27) with fixed wastewater reception facilities and two (8 and 17 for smaller ships) where the reception is provided by trucks. Each point can handle 80m3 to 200m3 per hour with total capacity in the Old City Harbour being 1,000m3 per hour. The trucks can handle 30m3 to 50m3 per hour. All the waste goes to the municipal wastewater treatment plant in the city.

There is no extra fee for the fixed reception facilities but where trucks are used, there is a payment for wastewater quantities exceeding 7m3 which is made in accordance with the quantities discharged and the prices charged by the waste-handling company.

There are plans for a fixed wastewater reception facility to be installed at pier no 17 in the Old City Harbour by 2019.
