On July 13, 12,000 passengers from six ships visited Bergen. Both large and small ships called: MSC Poesia, Costa Pacifica, Costa Luminosa, Amadea, Vistamar and Albatros. Fortunately for all concerned the sun shone after an extended period of rain.
Many of the visitors walked into town which is minutes’ walk away as are many of the attractions.
On July 20, the port is delighted that it is the only Norwegian port on a 104-day world cruise of Princess Cruises’ Dawn Princess. Helen Hovland, marketing manager Port of Bergen, says: “We are really looking ofrward to the visit, and we are very proud that Bergen was one of the many destinations she wanted to visit.”
