Cruise Terminal Rotterdam, one of the Netherlands’s national monuments, is undergoing some changes with a grand opening scheduled to take place in May.

A new boarding bridge was completed in September 2014 and on February 2 2015 the municipality began replacing the quay’s paving; 70% will be ready in early April, the rest will be tackled between cruiseship visits.

After renovation, the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam will offer 700 m2 of luggage handling space with an extra 360m2 available further afield. The refurbishment will include works to the floors, paintwork, the staircase, Cruise Port Rotterdam offices, suitcase storage place and the ‘say goodbye’ terrace near Cafe Rotterdam.

During the first months of 2015 the city of Rotterdam will be welcoming AIDAmar, Rotterdam returning to Rotterdam after a cruise to Asia and Indonesia, Braemar, MSC Splendida and Royal Princess.
