In April of this year, Rotterdam looks forward to welcoming the magnificent ms Regal Princess to the cruise quay, at the heart of our city.
A lovely weekend lies ahead. On 14 April, AIDAprima will be heading towards Hamburg, Regal Princess will sail in the very next day.
Ms Regal Princess is the 18th ship of Princess Cruises. She was built by Fincantieri to join the fleet in 2014. This sister ship to Royal Princess (Royal class) comes with an ‘ordinary’ yet perfectly furnished inside cabins and suites covering no less than 200 square metres.
Boasting 330 metres in length, 38 in width and about 70 in height, 19 decks … this is a giant for sure. She is able to welcome 3560 passengers.
One of Regal Princess’ unique features is the SeaWalk, which is a walkway to the side of the ship tens of metres above sea level. From this height, you are guaranteed a truly breath-taking view.
In 2015, ms Regal Princess also visited the city of Rotterdam and she will revisit in 2018. Needless to say she is more than welcome.
On 3 November 2014, Regal Princess’s official naming ceremony took place in Fort Lauderdale, which was attended by six main Love Boat stars (this TV classic was filmed on board ms Pacific Princess).
In April 2017, Caribbean Princess will visit as well, and again later in the year. Rotterdam could not be any prouder.
