Ronne is popular amongst German passengers

Submitted by CE-Press on 12 March 2010 - 5:21pm

Ronne in Denmark is expecting 24 calls and 20,000 passengers this year. In 2009 it had 15 alongside and nine at anchor but eight cancelled due to poor weather according to Hans Kumler, port director.

Statistics from the port show that almost half the total passenger numbers, 9,532, came from Germany. Next were the Italians at 2,850 followed by 1,637 French and 1,430 British passengers.

The ISO 14001-2004 certified port can accommodate ships up to 260m in length alongside and has wastewater discharge facilities directly at the pier.
