The cruise ships come in numbers to the port of Eidfjord. What an increase in 2010!! From 33 calls last year to 50 this year, and from 33.000 passengers to 59.000 in 2010. "This proves that our product development is very market oriented and in full cooperation with the cruise lines", Helge Møller in Cruise Destination Hardangerfjord points out. He further states; "It is essential that ports cooperate with the cruise lines, as they are the ones that know exactly what their guests want. The local destinations must tailormake their offers to trends and preferences in the trade. In that way the customers satisfaction will be on top, again resulting in success for both ship and port."
