This year the French port of Rouen welcomed 36,200 passengers, up 30% on 2009 when 27,509 visited.Calls this year increased 8.8% on 2009 being 37 this year compared with 34 last year.
The majority of calls, 26, are to Honfleur. Here there are two quays: QSH2 of 122m in length and QSH3 of 136m, allowing vessels with draughts of 8-9m and lengths up to 200m to be accommodated.
Rouen centre is just 15 minutes walk from the port which has one berth, Right Bank Upstream, dedicated to cruiseships with a length of 300m and draught of 8.5m, as well as a terminal. Two ships can be handled at the terminal at once according to Jean-Luc Desire, commercial and communications director at Grand Port Maritime de Rouen.
A second quay, Left Bank Upstream, has a length of 250m and draught of 8m with a terminal although this is rarely used.
Wastewater discharge and recycling are possible by truck. There is an air draught restriction of 49m.
