During the summer season in Eidfjord a survey was conducted of visitors arriving on eight calls. Of passengers visiting 58% were from the UK, 28% from Germany and 7% from North America.
The average passenger visiting Eidfjord reported a household income of E56,000 and was about 58 years old. It was the first visit for 94% of the passengers, 93% of which went ashore and spent typically 4.4 hours there. The average length of a purchased tour was 3.6 hours.
The average expenditure per passenger was E68.69. About 58% of passengers purchased a shore excursion. Of these 79% purchased the tour from the cruiseline, spending an average of E72.20.
Roughly 93% felt the call met or exceeded their expectations and 85% were extremely or very satisfied with the courtesy of employees and friendliness of the residents.
Of the crew, 47% went ashore spending an average of E13.63 and 2.3 hours there. Of these 40% said they were either very or extremely likely to return for a land-based vacation.
A reported 90,040 transit passengers arrived on 65 calls in 2014. In total passengers and crew spent an estimated E6.3m of which the former accounted for E6.02m.
