Olden is expecting 67 calls this year, up from 60 in 2010. For 2012 the Norwegian port already has 53 calls booked. In tonnage terms the ships are just getting bigger rising from a total of 2.6m gt last year to 3.8m in 2012. Passenger numbers in 2010 reached 66,702
Newcomers to the port on Nordfjord include SeaDream Yacht Club’s SeaDream I and TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 2. Other visitors range from Hurtigruten’s Fram and Swan Hellenic’s Minerva to P&O Cruises Ventura and MSC Cruises’ MSC Poesia.
The port has a berth of 121m long and 12m depth as well as a 45m pontoon for ship’s tenders. The latter has two gangways and is 500m from the town centre. There are two recommended anchorages but the whole fjord has good holding ground.
