Le Havre chosen as turnaround port for Costa Cruises' groundbreaking itinerary

Submitted by CE-Press on 27 July 2010 - 8:09pm

Le Havre will be homeporting a Costa Cruises’ vessel for the first time beginning next year. The company is launching a groundbreaking 11-day itinerary on 102,600gt Costa Magica taking in seven capital cities.

From May 28 2011, Le Havre for Paris will host nine departures of the Italian ship. Also included are Dover for London, Amsterdam, Hamburg for Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo and Edinburgh. On three of the itineraries Invergordon for Loch Ness and the Highlands, will replace Edinburgh.

Le Havre has also been chosen as a turnaround port for Costa Deliziosa in 2012.

The French port inaugurated its newly reopened cruise terminal at Pointe de Floride in May this year.
