On May 7 Voyages of Discovery’s Discovery will call Douglas, Isle of Man, for the first time. Ten cruise calls are scheduled to the Isle of Man this year carrying 5,330 passengers.
Hapag-Lloyd’s Europa is due to return in July after an absence of five years. Oceania Cruises’ 66,000gt newbuilding Marina is also calling twice that month.
Clipper Odyssey will be visiting the island for the first time this year on a number of calls both to St Mary and Douglas, closing the season on August 26, and P&O Cruises’ Adonia will be making an inaugural visit.
Hebridean Princess will be returning to the island while P&O Cruises’ Adonia visiting for the first time.
Ships up to 155m in length and with a draught of 6m can come alongside in Douglas while larger ships can anchor in Douglas Bay or in other ports around the island - Peel, Port Erin and Port St Mary - and disembark by tender. There is also a dedicated cruise pontoon facility in Douglas harbour.
