Hull is gearing up for the 2015 season which sees Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ Azores making five turnaround calls. As with all cruises to the UK port, complimentary shuttle buses are provided for all passengers and crew.

Port owner ABP works closely with Visit Hull & East Riding to assist the cruiselines in providing excursion opportunities in and around the East Riding of Yorkshire and beyond.

ABP is also working closely with Hull City Council which is conducting a feasibility study for a new £25m (E 34 m) riverside terminal. It’s hoped the terminal will be able to handle the vast majority of cruiseships currently sailing.

Hull has been named UK City of Culture 2017 with over £300m being invested for the year-long event. “With activities planned for each day of the year, 2017 will be a fantastic opportunity for the tourism industry to capitalise on the event, which is set to leave a legacy which will last beyond 2017, said Arran Marshall, commercial coordinator Port of Hull.
