Guernsey (St Peter Port) has witnessed an increase in around-British-Isles cruising. About 45% of calls and 51% of passengers are on such an itinerary.
This year 63,134 passengers on 69 calls visited the Channel Islands’ port while, in 2012, the forecast is for 80,000 passengers on 57 calls. The increase is due to MSC Cruises calling six times with about 2,000 passengers each time.
Inaugural calls this year included Queen Elizabeth and Mein Schiff 2.
