During the Summer, Costa announced its decision
to choose Le Havre as a turnaround port to
launch its new itinerary in Northern Europe, from May to September 2011, “Seven capitals, seven visions of Europe”. With this new homeport the Italian cruise line wants to make
cruising easier for the French clientele explained President of Costa France,
Georges Azouze, on board Costa Deliziosa on call yesterday at Le Havre. More and more French people are
attracted to cruise vacations and there is a great potential to develop this
market. In this perspective Costa
invited some 250 travel agents for the Paris and
Normandy area
to present its new itinerary on board Costa Deliziosa. Thus after Marseilles
and Nice (Savone) Costa creates a new turnaround in France at Le Havre “an attractive and touching town which will
make the French Line’s legend revive”, Azouze said…a very positive
perspective for the city of Le Havre which recently completed new turnaround
facilities in its Cruise Terminal. Costa
is the first cruise
line taking the opportunity to use Le Havre as a home port.
