Crew visiting Eidfjord this summer have made good use of the crew service centre which opened this spring, so much so that at times they end up sitting on the floor.
The port, which is 100% owned by the Eidfjord community, invested in the new facility which is equipped with PCs and offers wireless internet access free of charge. The crew are also offered reduced entrance fees to a number of local attractions.
Next season, phone booths will be installed in the centre for free of charge use, says Helge Moller of Cruise Destination Hardangerfjord.
He also explains that the whole port, including where the ships dock, has free wireless internet connection giving the added benefit of passengers and crew being able to access this while on board.
