This year's highlight at Columbus Cruise Centre Bremerhaven was the arrival of four vessels on September 7: Amadea, Albatros, Artania and Costa Magica were all berthed at the Columbus Quay at the same time. On this one day CCCB welcomed a total of almost 8,000 passengers to Bremerhaven. About 2,800 of these were transit passengers from Costa Magica who had booked excursions to Bremen and Bremerhaven. And 5,400 either embarked on or ended their journey. As well as several single arrivals before October, CCCB also welcomed three vessels on September 23.

Four new employees have joined CCCB this year to help deal with the rising number of passengers to Bremerhaven. Laura Luers, who joined the team in May, and Laura Peters now have joint responsibility for terminal management, taking over from Christin Reisenauer, who is currently on maternity leave.

CCCB is the first cruise terminal in Germany to be awarded ‘Servicequalitat Deutschland’, which is the country’s leading quality seal in the tourism industry. The awareness of all staff for quality is continuously reinforced through the ongoing implementation and monitoring of certification requirements. In addition, certification guarantees a sustainable and lasting high level of quality by means of regular audits. The former Terminal Manager, Malaike Schlereth, guided the team through the certification process and will continue to support them as quality officer in implementing improvements in service for cruise passengers.
