During AIDAprima’s call on July 27 Cruise Port Rotterdam, The Netherlands, welcomed its millionth passenger with a gift and a plaque (pictured with Mai Elmar).

During the last week in April, Rotterdam welcomed AIDAprima followed by Caribbean Princess and Rotterdam which was revisiting its homeport. The following week saw AIDAprima and MSC Preziosa each spending 24 hours alongside, as well as day calls from Astor, MSC Magnifica, AIDAprima, Rotterdam and Norwegian Getaway.

This summer AIDAprima, Rotterdam and Queen Elizabeth will all call on a regular basis, and so will Nautica, Braemar and Norwegian Jade.

AIDAprima will be mooring on a weekly basis on semi-turnarounds until November 3, Queen Elizabeth will call five times on semi-turnarounds and Rotterdam will make a further three homeport calls, including one overnight stay.

Thursdays are now referred to as‘German Thursdays’ because of German passengers from AIDAprima visiting outdoor cafés, restaurants, museums and other sights as well as shops. One of Rotterdam’s icons, Markthal, has seen turnover climb on this particular day.
