Presently black and grey water can be delivered from cruiseships to trucks. However during 2018 construction of a PRF on the pier will be completed which the port says will cover the demand from cruise vessels from 2018 going forward.
Hence the Royal Cruise Berth will have a connection at the pier installed during 2018 whereby waste can be delivered by pipes - 100-150m3/h - which are directly connected to the municipality waste treatment plant. The secondary cruise berth will be served by trucks. It is expected that the waste discharge will be charged per m3 until 2019/2021.
