Kay-Uwe Maross, Senior Manager Port Operations/ Itinerary Planning
With a graduate degree in Navigation Kay-Uwe Maross (47) started his career at the Deutsche Seereederei in Rostock in 1990.
After four years in the tramp charter department of the DSR, Maross joined the cruise division in 1994.
From 1994 until 1996 Kay-Uwe Maross was closely involved in the project management for the first AIDA newbuilding. As Nautical Superintendent he took over responsibility for itinerary planning and implemented the Quality Management System of AIDA Cruises in 1998.
With the growth of the company nautical and quality management became separate departments and he is in function as Senior Manager Port Operations/ Itinerary Planning today.
He is married and lives with his wife and two children near Rostock.
