    ADDENDUM TO THE APPLICATION FORM

    Member Ports:

    Member Ports should be able to provide cruise lines with quay or protected mooring areas capable of handling the movement of 600 passengers in total per vessel call.Basic passenger handling facilities could be required although it is accepted that covered accommodation might not be available. It is envisaged that the ports in this category should also be able to handle disabled passengers and provide easy disembarking/embarking from vessels, and tenders should these be used in the case of protected moorings. Member ports should be either located in, or adjacent to, nationals tourist centres which offer both tourist attractions and ground handling facilities including coaches. The first tourist attractions should be positioned within 30 minutes from the port of call, unless significantly interesting or famous.

    Principal Ports:

    Principal Ports should be able to offer cruise operators land based terminal facilities including full customs and immigrations services. Baggage handling operations should be available with the use of a covered baggage reclaim area and the ability to handle bonded containers. A covered passenger area should also be available with an international airport being positioned so as to minimise journey times which in total should not exceed 90 minutes. The port should be located within an "International Tourist Status" city which should be able to provide high quality hotels, and all ground handling facilities normally required by operators including the ability to provide coach services and tours to general areas of general interest. In relation to the marine aspects, bunkering services should be available with a berth capable to handling passenger vessels with a passenger turn-around of 800 per call as a minimum. Facilities for handling disables passengers should also be available. Minimum draft should be 8 metres. It is envisaged that in the main these ports will be used for embarkation/disembarkation operations.

    Payment of membership fee:

    The yearly membership fee is € (EURO) 1,250.- for member ports. In addition the admission fee on joining is € (EURO) 1,250.-. So, the first payment amounts € 2,500.- for member ports. Principal members pay double, so, the yearly membership fee is € 2,500.- and the first payment amounts € 5,000.
