A number of member ports benefited from Christmas calls in December as passengers visited Christmas markets.

Hamburg is expecting a record 100 calls and more than 200,000 passengers this year, the latter showing a 57.7% increase on 127,000 in 2009.

Hamburg. The 9 February marked the official start of the 2010 cruise season with the christening of the “AIDAblu”. According to media reports, tens of thousands of locals and numerous onlookers who had come to Hamburg especially for the event followed the ceremony at Hamburg’s Fischmarkt.
