On July 11 MSC Cruises began its first turnaround calls at A Coruna. MSC Opera will be calling a further six times this year.
A Coruna is expecting 83 calls and 135,000 passengers this year which makes it a record season for the Spanish port.
The Port of A Coruna will complete a 500m2 terminal (see simulated photograph) at the Transatlantic Quay just 50m from the city centre in 2011 according to Marta Rodriguez Pantin, commercial manager.
